We are two weeks into the 2024 Prospect League season. What have we learned? What surprised us? And why did we have any doubts about whether the Chillicothe Paints and Danville Dans would continue their winning traditions?
We also debut a new feature, “Woop Woop or Womp Womp?” where we talk about the highest of the highs and lowest of the lows from the first fortnight of summer baseball in the Prospect League.

Prospects for Success “Ballpark Nachos”
What’s a big time baseball game without a big time bowl (or, preferably, a souvenir batting helmet!) full of loaded nachos? Here’s our favorite recipe for Ballpark Nachos, great for watching your favorite team on Prospect League TV!
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
¼ cup diced green bell pepper
¼ cup diced red bell pepper
¼ cup chopped sweet onion
¾ cup ketchup
1 Tbsp light brown sugar
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp yellow mustard
½ tsp garlic powder
Round yellow corn tortilla chipsas desired:
Stadium Cheese Sauce
Salsa (mild, medium, or hot)
Sliced jalapeños
Texas Pete® Hot SauceBrown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain. While draining, sauté red and green bell pepper and onion until tender. Add browned ground beef to peppers and onion. Over medium heat, stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and garlic powder. Stir often. Heat until mixture is thick and bubbly.
Spoon mixture over a bowl or plate of round tortilla chips, or use as a dip. Top with stadium cheese, jalapeños, and salsa as desired. Add that Texas Pete® Hot Sauce for as much kick as you can handle!
